$250,000 Settlement Earned for Airbag Related Wrist Injury in Auto Accident
Christopher Geldmacher of Sauter Sullivan law firm represented a 38-year-old X-Ray technician who was involved in a car accident in the South City part of St. Louis. He was driving southbound on Kingshighway Boulevard when another driver going northbound attempted to make a U-turn and struck his vehicle.
Just before the collision occurred, Chris’s client put his left hand on the car horn. When the impact occurred between the two vehicles, the client’s airbag deployed, pushing his hand and wrist into his chest. He suffered a fracture to his left wrist and later found out he also suffered a torn ligament. His injuries required two separate surgeries to repair the ligament, and because his job required him to use his hands, he was unable to work during portions of his rehabilitation and recovery.
Christopher Geldmacher and the Sauter Sullivan team assisted the man throughout the process to make sure he got all the treatment he needed. Without having to go to trial, Geldmacher negotiated with the other driver’s insurance company and go our client a settlement in the amount of $250,000.
